The vaccine that requires 1 single injection is safe and protects for life severe and fatal forms of the disease transmitted by mosquitoes infected with the virus. It must be administered at least 10 days before departure in a International Vaccination Center (CVI).

Vaccines not obligatory but recommended

If no vaccination is obligatory, still be sure to be up to date for the most classic (DTP, MMR, Pertussis, etc.). Some are strongly recommended for the most vulnerable or depending on the nature of your trip (long or multiple stays, isolated rural areas, poor hygiene conditions, etc.). This is the case, for example, of those againstHepatitis A, of the handset Typhoid-Hepatitis A, of the'Hepatitis B or even the rage and theJapanese encephalitis. The one against the malaria is recommended if you travel near certain borders (Myanmar ex-Burma, Cambodia, Laos) where the risks of transmission are present. These vaccines are of little use if you stay in cities and tourist resorts (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Ko Samui, Phuket, etc.).

The COVID-19 case

To date, and since October 1, 2022, all specific measures and documents relating to COVID-19 have been removed. No traveler, regardless of nationality, requires a vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 test to enter Thailand. Preventive health instructions and measures such as hand washing and social distancing, however, are still encouraged as in the rest of the world.
