The TR tourist visa is an official document issued to allow a traveler to travel to Thailand for tourism purposes. This type of visa is valid for a period of three months from the date of submission of the visa application, and allows the traveler to stay in Thailand for a maximum period of 60 days from the date of entry into the country.
However, it is important to note that the tourist visa only allowsonly one entry into Thailand. Furthermore, it is possible to extend the length of stay by an additional 30 days by going to one of the Immigration services and paying a fee of 1900 baht (53 €), without needing to leave the country. The extension request must be filed Before the end of the initial 60-day stay period.
It should also be noted that the visa application procedure can take up to a month or more if the file is incomplete. It is therefore recommended to allow sufficient time to apply for a tourist visa.
